Goldsmith took a hit to the face and dropped to the ice, unconscious. Trainers for both teams and doctors raced out onto the ice to attend to Goldsmith, who was eventually taken off the ice on a backboard and put into an ambulance. Goldsmith gave the crowd an encouraging thumbs up as he was taken off the ice.

A fight that erupted Tuesday during a Western Hockey League contest had fans completely stunned after one of the players involved took a fall to the ice that left a pool of blood and saw him suffer a seizure.

A fight between Thunderbirds' Ashton Cumby and Americans' Terrell Goldsmith ended with Goldsmith’s helmet knocked off and Goldsmith falling face-first onto the ice.
