The Baltimore Orioles will be without star shortstop Gunnar Henderson to start the 2025 regular season. General manager Mike Elias told reporters on Sunday that Henderson will open the regular season on the injured list because of an intercostal strain that he suffered on Feb.

Gunnar Henderson will begin the season on the injured list, Orioles general manager Mike Elias said Sunday morning before the club’s Grapefruit League finale. Elias said the Orioles don’t want to rush Henderson back from the ribs muscle strain he suffered in late February.

The Orioles will be without one of their best players for Opening Day this week as shortstop Gunnar Henderson will start the season on the injured list.
