Coco Gauff clinched the first French Open singles title of her career as she defeated World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a rollercoaster final. American second seed Gauff won the match 6-7 (5-7) 6-2 6-4 after a tense battle between the WTA Tour's two leading players in testing conditions.
On Saturday, Coco Gauff etched her name into tennis history as the winner of the 2025 French Open. The 21-year-old tennis phenom defeated Aryna Sabalenka in three sets, getting a huge comeback to win her first title at Roland-Garros, and her second Grand Slam.
Coco Gauff lost the opening set at the French Open in a nervy tiebreaker to Madison Keys but bounced back emphatically to eventually win 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-1, ending Keys’ 11-match grand slam win streak.
