The slumping New York Yankees sat Ben Rice for Tuesday's game against the visiting Los Angeles Angels while they continued to work slugger Giancarlo Stanton back into the lineup.

That’s means the Yankees will be dealing with a Catch-22. The more Stanton plays, the greater the likelihood one or both of his elbows will bother him again. The pain is no joke, either: an elbow with tendinitis feels like a match has been taken to it. Shaking hands is torture, so you can imagine what gripping a bat is like.
