The companies announced details of the first five vehicles the pair will collaborate on. The cars are expected to hit roads by 2028.

The brands will team up on four passenger vehicles for Central and South American markets, plus a commercial EV van set to be built in the U.S.

General Motors Co. in Detroit and Hyundai Motor Co. in Seoul plan to produce their first five co-developed vehicles.
