On Sunday's episode, narrator Iain Stirling announced that Cierra Ortega had left the Peacock reality series due to a "personal situation," leaving her partner and fellow contestant, Nic Vansteenberghe, single.

At the time of her exit, Cierra was coupled up with Nic Vansteenberghe, and the pair was one of the strongest in the villa. After Cierra left, Nic said in a confessional that when Cierra was there, “I knew what the future would look like. And now I’m lost.”

Peacock has not clarified why Ortega left the show, but her exit occurred amid online controversy over posts she allegedly made that included a derogatory term for Chinese people.
