A ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthis struck near Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport on Sunday, briefly grounding flights, halting train service and forcing the closure of access roads covered in debris.

Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel's main travel hub, was hit Sunday with a Houthi missile that bypassed Israeli and American defense systems.

The Yemen-based-Houthi terror group said it was launching a complete air blockade of Israel with constant shelling of airports, and called on all airlines to suspend flights to Israel for their own safety.
