ADP: Private companies created 183,000 jobs in January
Private nonfarm payrolls in January increased by 183,000 jobs, slightly better than figures in December, according to the monthly ADP national report released on Wednesday.

Employers added 183,000 jobs in January, more than expected, private payroll firm ADP said on Wednesday. The increases were concentrated in trade and transportation, with 56,000 jobs added, and in leisure and hospitality, where a gain of 54,000 positions was recorded. Manufacturing saw a drop of 13,000.
