Canelo Alvarez has signed a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, scuttling reports late Thursday that he was close to a deal for a boxing match with Jake Paul in May.

Alvarez has agreed to a four-fight deal, with the Mexican superstar leveraging a widely speculated bout with Paul for a much bigger contract.

Alvarez and Crawford are slated to fight on Sept. 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the weekend ahead of Mexican Independence Day.
