Local Ukrainian officials and emergency services say at least three people were killed in Kyiv after Russia launched a mass drone attack targeting the city.

A large-scale Russian drone attack on Kyiv killed at least three people, including a 5-year-old child, causing fires in high-rise apartment buildings and damage throughout the capital, Ukrainian officials said on Sunday.

The assault underscored the deep mistrust between Russia and Ukraine. U.S.-mediated talks about a partial cease-fire are set to begin in Saudi Arabia later on Sunday.
