Dave Portnoy may have gotten the last laugh in his growing beef with Patrick Mahomes. Just a week after posting about Chiefs star’s dislike for his media company, Barstool Sports, Portnoy said he has put together a fight involving his QB’s father, Patrick Mahomes Sr.

After Patrick Mahomes Sr. was involved in an ugly skirmish with rival John Rocker on the street in New Orleans, Dave Portnoy has confirmed plans for a fight.

Amid rumors that Patrick Mahomes’ dad Pat Mahomes I had a fight with former Atlanta Braves player John Rocker, he shared a cryptic social media post.

Barstool founder Dave Portnoy announced in a social media video on Wednesday that Pat Mahomes Sr. and John Rocker will square off in a boxing match. It will go down on April 19th.

On Feb. 12, Portnoy announced that Mahomes Sr. and Rocker have signed contracts to fight at Barstool's Rough 'N' Rowdy brawl. He referenced the now-viral clip of the two former baseball stars getting into a heated exchange on Bourbon Street in New Orleans .

Mahomes and Rocker were once relief pitchers on either side of the Mets-Braves rivalry games of the late 1990s; after arguing in the streets of New Orleans they're taking whatever boxing talents they have to a Barstool-branded event.
