Masons of California reopened the Sonora Masonic Hall, built in 1850, on Saturday, and called it a grand opening celebration of its newest Masonic lodge, Sonora Lodge No. 887.

As fire raged through Rochester’s Masonic Temple building on the afternoon of Jan. 17, 1916, city officials placed an emergency call to Winona asking for help.
