Selection Sunday is less than a month away, and the NCAA's reveal of the current top 16 teams on Saturday will give fans some insight into how it all could break down in March.

According to the NCAA, the odds of a perfect bracket increase, in theory, to about 1 in 120 billion if you apply logic. That includes picking favorites. The closest known attempt was a bracket that remained perfect through the first 49 games in 2019. It was a remarkable bracket, but it was still light years away from perfection.

The Sunday before the tournament kicks off is traditionally when fans get to learn which teams have earned the right to compete for a national title. This year, both the men's and women's brackets will be revealed on March 16, two days before the start of the men's tournament and three days before the women's.

Wisconsin men’s basketball received a No. 3 seed and were ranked 11th overall in the NCAA Bracket Preview Show on Saturday, where the Division I Men’s Basketball Committee revealed its top 16 teams one month before the field of 68 will be set for March Madness.

The Big 12 had five teams in the top 16 with Houston, Iowa State, Arizona, Texas Tech and Kansas. The Big 12 and SEC combine to have 11 of the top 16 seeds at the moment with the Big Ten having three teams and the ACC and Big East each having one.

The Big Ten does not have a No. 1 seed, but they have eight teams in the top eight seed lines, led by Wisconsin.
