Gov. Ron DeSantis says deportation flights out of the immigration detention center in the Florida Everglades dubbed ‘Alligator Alcatraz' have begun, and hundreds of illegal immigrants have already been flown out.

The Trump administration has begun flying out and deporting illegal immigrants from the state-run immigrant detention site in the Florida Everglades, dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” according to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

The flights operated by the Department of Homeland Security have transferred about 100 detainees from the immigration detention center to other countries, said Gov. Ron DeSantis, who expects that number to increase soon.
