WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Jeopardy tournament of champions came to an end for a Purdue professor tonight. Adriana Harmeyer of West Lafayette had 15 straight wins on Jeopardy over the summer and won a total of 349-thousand dollars during her time competing on Jeopardy. Those wins earned her a spot for the Tournament of Champions.

Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist at the university, survived a difficult "Final Jeopardy!" clue to pick up a win on the first night of the tournament's finals.

Adriana Harmeyer, a graduate of Spring Valley High School in Wayne County and a 15-game winner on Jeopardy!, is competing in the show’s Tournament of Champions. On Tuesday night’s episode, Harmeyer ended up with $25,000 and advanced to the finals of the Tournament of Champions.

Wednesday's round of the Tournament of Champions could be the last for Purdue's Adriana Harmeyer, or it could bring her back up to tie.

Although Purdue professor Adriana Harmeyer did not win Wednesday night's episode, she'll have another chance to tie for first on Thursday.
