Arsenal are believed to have finally secured a full agreement with Sporting CP over the transfer of prolific striker Viktor Gyökeres after belatedly settling on suitable add-ons.

The Sporting CP striker is set to sign a contract with the north London club and is reportedly travelling to North London this evening to complete the deal

Mikel Arteta was asked about Gyokeres after Arsenal’s friendly encounter with AC Milan in Singapore, and he provided an immediate response. Arteta’s press conference was featured on Hayters TV, and a reporter asked him: “Will Singapore fans expect to see a certain Viktor Gyokeres in the next game?”

With Viktor Gyökeres reportedly on his way to England, the Swedish hitman may fancy going down a similar route to Palmer. His ‘mask’ celebration has become a crucial part of the player’s brand, and it’s easy to imagine t-shirts sold on Etsy or eBay with a silhouette or graphic design of Gyökeres’s mask at the front and centre.

Gyokeres was focused only on joining Arsenal and, despite late interest from elsewhere, he did not consider any other team.
