What a special week its been for tennis legend Venus Williams. Returning to the court on Tuesday night to collect her first singles win in two years at the DC Open, the 45-year-old Williams became the second-oldest woman in the sport's history to claim victory in a tour-level singles match.

Venus Williams' comeback might result in a US Open spot, but it's unclear if the 45-year-old seven-time Grand Slam title winner will request one.

Williams, one of the all-time great tennis players, participated in the DC Open for her first professional match in over a year, and the 45-year-old wasn't just there to play, she was there to compete. Williams defeated world No. 35 Peyton Stearns for her first win since August 2023.
