Tropical Storm Erin is continuing to gain strength, and forecasters with the National Hurricane Center (NHC) expect the system to become the first major hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.

Those near East Coast beaches need to be wary of danger as Tropical Storm Erin is predicted to cause rip currents.

The chances that the storm will make landfall in the U.S. have increased slightly after the path shifted south.
