Journalism delivered right on deadline in Saturday's Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park, keeping the Triple Crown rivalry with Sovereignty at a fair boil.

Journalism will be jockeyed by Umberto Rispoli of Italy. Rispoli, 36, has 610 first-place finishes out of 3,332 starts in his career but is seeking his first Triple Crown race win.

If all goes well in a final workout at Santa Anita, Journalism will likely be shipped to the Jersey Shore for the Haskell at Monmouth Park on July 19.

The last Triple Crown winner was Justify in 2018, while Sovereignty went 2-for-3. Journalism started Saturday morning with 8/5 odds, while Sovereignty at 2/1.
