The White Stripes are among 14 nominees as the rock hall gears up for its fall ceremony. Others include Black Crowes, Oasis, Outkast and Soundgarden.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced 14 bands and artists who are nominated for consideration into the Hall of Fame. Two bands with Nashville ties made the list.

Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, The Black Crowes and Joy Division/New Order also made the list of 14 performer nominees.
