China and the U.S. have agreed to continue their tariff pauses on each other, according to China's top trade official

Trump’s take follows a round of high-level talks, which were expected to extend a pause on tariffs the two countries have put on each others’ goods.

The U.S. and China had agreed to pause most of the sky-high tariffs on each others’ goods amid trade negotiations – but that pause is set to expire in August.
