Moments after losing Saturday’s Farmers Insurance Open by a stroke, 28-year-old Sam Stevens finished signing autographs outside of the scoring area at Torrey Pines Golf Course. Then came the bull rush.

He shot a 1-over 73 during another day of challenging weather at Torrey Pines, finishing his first tour win since 2021 at 8-under 280. Stevens began the day six shots off the lead, but surged into contention with a 68 for the best final round in a tournament with a tradition of furious final-day rallies.
