The Pentagon’s inspector general will conduct an investigation of the Signal group chat where Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other Trump administration officials discussed details of an impending attack on Houthi militants in Yemen.

The Pentagon warned against using Signal in a memo just last week, according to NPR. It cited threats from Russian hackers.
