In what is quickly becoming an annual tradition, the NBA is once again changing the format of the All-Star game. After attempting a four-team, tournament-style format last year that absolutely did not work, they went back to the drawing board and determined they needed to be more like…golf?

The NBA is closing in on another format for the All-Star Game in which three eight-man teams — two from the U.S. and one of international players — would square off in a round-robin tournament.

September 4 - The NBA reportedly is tinkering with the All-Star Game format again, this time adding an international twist. The 2026 competition will feature two teams of U.S. players and one team of international players squaring off in a round-robin event, ESPN reported Wednesday night.
