Hundreds of demonstrators were marching the streets of Los Angeles on the same day as a nationwide movement protesting President Donald Trump's plans for mass deportations.

Protesters gathered in the morning on LA’s historic Olvera Street, which dates to Spanish and Mexican rule, before marching to City Hall.

Thousands, many with Mexican flags and signs containing phrases such as “Viva Mexico” and “Nobody is illegal,” participated in the protest in Los Angeles.
