DeWine issued the proclamation following the fatal shooting of Lorain Officer Philip Wagner, who died in the line of duty.
The body of Officer Wagner was escorted from the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office in Cleveland to the Liston Funeral Home in North Ridgeville.
Brian Tellier, a suspended Lorain County corrections officer, was charged with multiple felony counts Friday stemming from a 2023 incident where he was accused of paralyzing a handcuffed inmate. Tellier also faces charges for a separate incident in Elyria.
