The British and Irish Lions outscored the ACT Brumbies five tries to four in Canberra in their fourth straight victory on Australian soil. In an at times excellent and at other times troubling performance, the tourists made their now customary slow start, conceding early to Brumbies back-row Tuaina Taii Tualima.

The Lions made the worst possible start when an early lapse in discipline allowed the Brumbies to build pressure from a driving lineout five metres out. They went through the phases with some powerful carries before prop Tuaina Taii Tualima touched down for the try.

The British & Irish Lions were made to work, but eased to a 36-24 win over a depleted ACT Brumbies team in Canberra on Wednesday in a victory soured by another backline injury.
