The former welterweight champion returns to the Octagon against Joaquin Buckley at UFC Fight Night in Atlanta.

Kamaru Usman is all for Islam Makhachev's move up to the UFC welterweight division. Makhachev (27-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) vacated his UFC lightweight title and will get an immediate title shot against newly crowned welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena later in the year.

Kamaru Usman knows why Patchy Mix fell so flat in his first UFC fight. Mix, a former Bellator bantamweight champion, entered UFC 316 with a 20-1 record and plenty of hype after parting ways with PFL this past May.

The UFC is back in Atlanta on Saturday night with a compelling 13-fight card, topped by the long awaited return of former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

UFC on ESPN 69 takes place Saturday at State Farm Arena and marks the first competition for Usman (20-4 MMA, 15-3 UFC) in nearly two years as he battles Joaquin Buckley (21-6 MMA, 11-4 UFC) in the main event. Although he's on a three-fight skid at 38 years old, Usman hasn't been deterred from the goal he's had his entire career: to be the best.
