When Joe Schoen was the Buffalo Bills’ assistant general manager in 2018, the franchise drafted Josh Allen. They had a plan for him to sit and effectively redshirt, but the former Wyoming star eventually became the starter after Nathan Peterman struggled.

The Giants traded the Nos. 34 and 99 picks in this year’s draft, plus a 2026 third-rounder, to the Texans to move up to No. 25 and select the quarterback.
