LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Indiana football players have largely ignored the debate amongst league administrators, coaches and fans about the program's strength of schedule, but that wasn't an easy task for the Hoosiers in attendance at Big Ten Media Days on Tuesday.

Curt Cignetti didn’t shy away from criticism over his scheduling decisions at Big Ten Media Days. Instead, he took a bold shot at the SEC’s approach and made it clear Indiana is playing by a new set of rules.

In late June, Indiana quietly axed a home-and-home with Virginia scheduled for 2027 and '28. It was a decision that might've flown under the radar outside Bloomington, Ind., and Charlottesville, Va.—but with coach Curt Cignetti in charge of the Hoosiers, nothing stays under the radar for very long.
