Immigration and Customs Enforcement hit a new milestone this week, arresting more than 2,200 undocumented migrants in a single day, according to reports.

Witnesses and an immigration advocate said about a dozen people were detained by apparent ICE agents after they were told to attend routine immigration appointments.

Marcelo Gomes Da Silva, 18, will go before an immigration judge who will consider whether the high school junior should be released while challenging efforts to deport him.
