Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel has confirmed what Harry Kane told him about moving to Tottenham after completing a deadline-day move. Tel, 19, had attracted attention from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and other clubs but it was Spurs who managed to form a deal.

Harry Kane believes Tottenham is the ideal club for loan signing Mathys Tel to fulfil his potential.The teenager forward moved to Spurs on Deadline Day on a deal running until the end of the season, just days after rejecting a permanent move to the club.

Right after joining Spurs on loan, Tel revealed Kane discussed Tottenham with him by revealing to the Bayern Munich loanee that the Lilywhites are a “big club” and he will “enjoy” his football in North London.

Having only started three matches in all competitions this season, 19-year-old forward Tel decided to leave Bavaria towards the end of the winter transfer window. Despite interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa, he eventually opted for Tottenham after a lengthy chat with manager Ange Postecoglou.

Harry Kane hopes Mathys Tel will fulfil his potential in north London. A loan signing from FC Bayern on Monday evening, Mathys has joined us on a deal until the end of the season but with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
