The Boston Red Sox traded Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants on Sunday in a blockbuster deal. Devers' agent, Nelson Montes de Oca, confirmed that the slugger had been traded to San Francisco. ESPN reported that the package of players going back to the Red Sox includes starter Jordan Hicks and left-hander Kyle Harrison.

The Boston Red Sox are just days away from making a tough decision, it seems. Boston recently brought up No. 1 prospect Roman Anthony because Wilyer Abreu was placed on the Injured List. It sounds like he won’t need much more time before he can get back on the field.

Red Sox starters have been red-hot lately, at 4-0 with a 1.05 ERA in their last five starts. And they could be getting help.

Boston placed Abreu on the IL Monday and promoted top Roman Anthony from Triple-A Worcester. Next Thursday (an off day before a series in San Francisco) is the first day he is eligible to return.
