JERUSALEM (Reuters) -Ten Palestinians were killed by Israeli tank fire in Gaza on Friday, local health authorities said, as a U.S.- and Israeli-backed group handing out aid in the enclave said all its distribution sites were closed until further notice.

Dozens of people were killed and injured near an aid site run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a Trump administration-backed aid group.

Shootings have erupted nearly daily since last week in the Gaza Strip in the vicinity of new hubs where desperate Palestinians are being directed to collect food.
