Pedro Pascal got by with a little help from his friends. The Last of Us star tells Entertainment Weekly that he spoke "a lot" to former Fantastic Four stars Chris Evans and Miles Teller before taking on the role of Reed Richards, a.k.a. the stretchy hero Mister Fantastic, for his Marvel debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Fantastic Four meet-and-greet characters will make appearances in Tomorrowland at Disneyland starting on July 25.

In the BBC Radio 1 clip above The Fantastic Four: The First Steps stars Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby respond to a series of questions recorded by kids, ranging from "I want to know if you've been told off on set," to "Have you ever weed in a swimming pool?" The answers to both of those is apparently yes.

Many fans extracted that quote and spread it around online, believing this meant the star of Eddington, The Materialist, and The Last of Us would become the new leader of the Avengers in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. Pascal clarifies to Entertainment Weekly that is not the case.

Pascal has also been vocal in support for his sister and transgender community. He courted some controversy for comments in calling out Harry Potter author J.K Rowling. Posting on Instagram, he referred to her as a 'h einous loser' for her views on the topic.
