Netflix is expanding Chris Hemsworth's Extraction action franchise with a TV show starring a big shot French actor.

An “Extraction” TV series has been greenlit at Netflix, Variety has learned. Omar Sy will lead the series, which is set in the same world as the Netflix film franchise. The streaming giant has commissioned eight episodes of the series.

Extraction is Netflix's flagship action franchise, starring Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a mercenary who is sent into the most dangerous locations in the world to extract valuable targets and hostages.
