Four years after being dumped from the Australian team during a bleak period with the bat, Travis Head has risen to the top of the heap as a devastating power hitter in all three formats. The popular lefthander was awarded the Allan Border Medal late on Monday as Australia's top men's cricketer in 2024,

Travis Head and Annabel Sutherland were voted Australia’s cricketers of the year, both winning the awards for the first time in a dominant year for the national teams.

Travis Head has won his first Allan Border Medal and Annabel Sutherland has claimed the Belinda Clark Award, also for the first time.
