After Nolan McLean grabbed the win in his major league debut in the Mets' 3-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners, manager Carlos Mendoza all but confirmed the right-hander will get another start.

Rookie Nolan McLean delivered what the Mets needed in his MLB debut, striking out eight and flashing some clutch leather over 5⅓ scoreless innings in a 3-1 win over the Mariners.

McLean showed off a five-pitch arsenal that included a high-70s curveball, a high-80s sweeper, a 90-mph cutter and sinkers and fastballs both measured in the high 90s. He limited the Mariners to one hit in 10 plate appearances with a runner on base.
