Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and community leaders gathered for a vigil Wednesday for the victims of a violent attack​ against a group marching to bring awareness to Israelis held captive in Gaza.

Hundreds of people have gathered at the local Jewish Community Center for a vigil to support the victims of the firebombing attack in Boulder.

“It was a walk just like all our others, until it wasn't,” the anonymous burn victim, who explained to the crowd that, though they’d grown up Jewish, the walks had helped them connect with their faith after the Oct. 7th attacks. “I went to Hebrew school. I had a mitzvah. I observed all the holidays, but I never felt connected to religion.”
