I think all visitors have to be prebooked for Savill Gardens, it is a large carpark and people do park there to visit Windsor Great Park also, but we didnt have any trouble parking well after opening time. Also, you dont pay in advance for parking, you pay on exit and those attending Savill Gardens are given a special ticket for the car park machine at the ticket desk which authorises free parking. Hope this helps - and enjoy!!

The Cow Pond is in Windsor Great Park, a short-ish walk from The Savill Garden entrance, but BEFORE you go into Savill Garden. We walked there to eat our picnic as no food is allowed into Savill Garden. The Cow Pond is a large ornamental pond, huge, covered with water lilies and has some ducks and moorhens which we fed - look online about what to feed. And no, no charge to see the pond at all, you can go into Windsor Great park anywhere without any entrance fee.

No more than ten minutes between Saville Gardens and Windsor. Taxi rank not available at Saville Gardens, perhaps pre book with Gemini Taxis or simply Uber it.
