A:
There are no tour guides going there. You need to walk in from bullett tree falls about 10 miles way or try and convince a taxi driver to take you. Most won’t as the road is too bad.

I enjoyed my visit to El Pilar. It is a very beautiful place in the jungle, very quiet. Even though most of the Mayan ruins were covered with jungle, you could see the shapes of the buildings around the plazas and so it had an air of mystery about it. We did not see them, but we could hear monkeys and many birds. The road from Bullet Tree was rough and I could see that it would be extremely muddy if there was rain.
