Not open much of the time though yelp says open. Check website before making the drive. We would have loved to see it as it is one of the few things to do on the Island.Full review by Mary S

A great pub if you don't mind being looked down by Emma. She needs to remember that she is running a pub, and not a Carmelite Convent.Full review by John L

It's about a 15 minute drive in, once you turn off of Hwy 174, 1.5 miles to the information kiosk where you have to fill out a form and put a day pass on your windshield (it's free), and then another 2 miles to the parking area at the head of the walk to the beach. From the parking area, the beach is a 0.5 mile walk. You leave the same way you came in.
Anytime I hear the words Plantation - and Heritage Preserve together in a place title, I feel a cringe and wonder what type of place it is and the people I will meet. When one says Heritage Preserve, it makes me think of preserving a heritage we fought to destroy rather than a nature preserve that this is. So my question is - what is this place preserving? Nature or Heritage?
